On 18th October, Apple announced the highly anticipated iPad Pro 11.0″ and 12.9″with the second iteration of its Silicon processor, the M2, and the 10th Gen iPad that comes with a new, refreshed design.
The new Entry-Level iPad comes with a larger screen measuring 10.9-inch (vs 10.2-inch of its predecessor) while keeping the same footprint, the bezels have been significantly reduced, comes in 3 new colors – Blue, Pink, Yellow, and the classic Silver. The New Liquid Retina Display supports a 2360-by-1640 resolution at 264 PPI, with a maximum brightness of 500 nits. The Touch ID has been repositioned on the power button, for greater convenience.
For the more technical side, the chipset has been upgraded, it uses Apple’s faster A14 Bionic Chip promises a CPU increase of 20% over the A13 Bionic, and a faster Neural Engine processing with 80% compared to the previous 9th Generation iPad. The RAM was not left behind either, it features 4GB for a better multitasking experience.
Lightning port has been finally replaced with the USB-C port. At the same time, the Apple stylus compatibility will stick to the First-Generation Apple Pencil, meaning you will need a lightning to USB-C adaptor for charging.
Cellular model has an improved modem, sporting the new 5G connectivity for superfast downloads and high-quality streaming. The backside camera sports a 12MP Wide Camera, and the front-facing camera has a new 12MP Landscape Ultra-Wide Camera, with a new positioning that will sure make the Zoom calls more enjoyable.
